ASPRONTE Building

This building, which currently houses the headquarters of the Asociación Familiar Pro Personas Con Discapacidad Intelectual de Tenerife (ASPRONTE), was designed in 1926 by the architect Domingo Pisaca for the owner Eustaquio Encinoso Medina. 

The original idea was to build two adjoining houses but, shortly after construction began, the property was sold to Álvaro Rodríguez López, and the technical direction of the project passed to the architect Antonio Pintor. The building then underwent a series of important modifications; it was converted into a single-family home rather than the two initially planned.

Currently, it is an eclectic two-storey building, raised at a considerably higher level than the street, which required the construction of a huge wall at the base.

The façade stands out, among other elements, for having a corner portico supported by columns, with a terrace and upper balustrade. The openings are decorated with pointed motifs. A corner turret with a four-sided tiled roof extends on one side. 

Since 1972, the building, also known as "La Casa Rosada", has been the headquarters of ASPRONTE, a highly prestigious association founded in 1966 that tirelessly works to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their integration into society.
