In 1930 the architect Domingo Pisaca developed the project for this house on Robayna street for the owner Carlos Büchle y Soto. The architect proposed a building far removed from the eclecticism he had practised until then, now offering completely new premises framed within the new currents of international architecture.

Geometric forms predominate in this construction, with a tendency to avoid excessively harsh angles and a proportional harmony in the composition of the openings. In the interior decoration there is a marked preference for dichromatic alternation. Both in the decorative wallpapers and in the plasterwork, the use of geometric designs stands out.

This house is the clear example of the typological evolution of the architect when embracing rationalism, which at that time represented modernity.
