The architect Domingo Pisaca designed this large detached house in 1925 for the owner Ricardo Hodson Balestrino. Located on the Rambla, in an environment of similar buildings of eclectic style, it features an ample decoration that unfolds across a three-part façade; the central part is prominent and culminates in a turret. Notable on this front facing the Rambla are the carpentry in the shutters, the balustrade of the central balcony and the wall enclosing the garden.

Inside, a central space covered by a glass framework distributes the entire floor. This space has, at the back, an imperial staircase. At the front of the main floor are the noble rooms; the remaining part, separated by a gallery running the full width, was originally intended for services. On the upper floor the bedrooms are connected by a gallery open to the covered patio. 

Casa Hodson was completed in December 1928 and despite having undergone several renovations, the building retains its original appearance.
