This is the first work designed and executed in Santa Cruz by the architect Domingo Pisaca. In 1921 Cándido García Dorta commissioned the architect to build a house for his family on the plot located at the corner of the Rambla with the ascent to the Hotel Quisisana. The author, having just completed his architecture degree in Barcelona, reflected in this building the solutions he used in his final degree project for a villa. 

A beautiful central tower structures a façade rich in the shaping of volumes and decoration. The splendid Art Nouveau grille, the best example of Modernist wrought ironwork we have in the Canary Islands, gives way to an elegant sloping staircase that leads to the main entrance of the villa. The tower is crowned by a spectacular tile pinnacle. As for the floor plan, the spaces are grouped in a nuclear way, starting from the central axis, according to the uses of the different areas.

Currently this magnificent villa is part of the educational complex of the adjacent La Pureza school.
