Mural on Serrador Bridge I

This was the first artistic intervention conceived for the decoration of the lower arches of Serrador Bridge. Created in 2013 by the artist Iker Muro, it was part of the "Dive into Santa Cruz" project, an initiative promoted by the company Cepsa with the aim of adding value to façades and corners of the city in apparent abandonment, deterioration, or simply of low aesthetic level.

Iker Muro created for this lower arch of Serrador Bridge (the one closest to the Recova) a very personal work that the author himself defined as "a baroque, overloaded, and surreal botanical garden, intended to be a communication channel between the passer-by and the universe of the TEA" (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes), a cultural centre located very close by.  

The mural stands out for its muted colours and abstract shapes, and it can be read on it: "Not graffiti, not even art, just design", referring to the three disciplines through which Iker Muro navigates without limits.

The creation of this work was also carried out within the framework of the Tenerife Design Festival, an important event in the design world.
