Mural in Las Teresitas Car Park

Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Art · Subcategory: Urban art · Year: 2024 · Authors: Adrián Martínez, Acaymo Padrino

On a long wall located in one of the car parks at Las Teresitas beach, a mural was created at the beginning of 2024 by the urban artists Adrián Martínez and Acaymo Padrino.

The work is part of the Immerse Yourself in Santa Cruz series, an initiative launched by the Fundación Cepsa in collaboration with the Santa Cruz City Council, whose aim is to beautify various areas of the city through the creation of urban murals.

In this beachside setting of Las Teresitas, the artists chose a theme related to the sea, its traditions and trades, all closely linked to the daily life of the nearby coastal village of San Andrés.

Stretching 135 metres long and 3.5 metres high, the mural is the result of combining the artistic and personal characteristics of each of the two creators: on one side, Adrián Martínez’s abstract forms with a theoretical and orderly background; on the other, Acaymo Padrino’s colourful and figurative style.
