Mural between Carmen Monteverde and Miraflores Streets
Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Art · Subcategory: Urban art · Year: 2016 · Authors: Iker Muro, Acaymo Padrino, Víctor Pacheco
This large-format mural was created in August 2016 by the artists Iker Muro, Acaymo Padrino and Víctor Pacheco. It occupies a huge wall of a residential building located between Carmen Monteverde and Miraflores streets. The artistic initiative is part of the project "Sumérgete en Santa Cruz", an interesting initiative sponsored by the company Cepsa with the aim of contributing to beautifying the city through the improvement of spaces and walls, in order to give them a clear cultural interest.
On this occasion, we are faced with a collective work that unites the artistic talents of its three creators. Parallel and diagonal geometric lines create various irregular shapes that intersect. Inside the resulting sections, each author has expressed their own aesthetic universe, diverse but with a clear uniformity of criteria regarding their visual concerns of colour and vividness. Abstract and flat shapes mix with organic and voluptuous elements with apparent naturalness. Full of small details, the mural is configured as a huge canvas of varied textures and patterns.
