This building occupying an entire block between 25 de Julio, Méndez Núñez and Pérez de Rozas streets was built in 1912 according to the plans of architect Antonio Pintor, as a private residence for the Yanes Rodríguez Quegle family, on the edges of the expansion of the Hoteles neighbourhood.

Built under eclectic guidelines, its façade combines classical and modernist elements. Inside it features a beautiful central courtyard covered with an iron and glass framework.

Today the building houses offices of the Ministry of Defence.
