This building was erected in 1905 under the plans of architect Antonio Pintor for the developer Germán del Gallego. It occupies a splendid plot between Castillo and Suárez Guerra streets, a site of marked interest, since the town hall from the end of the 19th century had proposed a policy of alignment and ornamentation through the buildings of the last stretch of Castillo street up to Weyler square.

Pintor created (the place required it) one of his most personally brilliant works. The chamfer stands out, with an exceptional treatment achieved through a large iron and glass bay window that followed the most advanced modernist dictates of the time, a solution already provided by this architect in previous years for the corner houses of Méndez Núñez street with Numancia. The rest of the façade is dotted with both classical elements (balustrades, walls, etc.) and modernist ones (ironwork, stained glass, etc.). The result is a prestigious building in one of the most important commercial areas of the city.
