This work by sculptor Pablo Serrano (1908-1985) was created in 1973 for the I International Street Sculpture Exhibition. Located in García Sanabria park, it was conceived as a fountain with water currents, luminous perforations and handprints to mark the human presence. The arrangement of these seven volumes made of concrete at different scales gives rise to a harmonious ensemble associated with nature and the Canary Islands themselves.

This work, like all of its creator's work, responds to his eagerness for communication and human solidarity, embracing the volumes in an expressive quantity. Seven concrete blocks, in volumetric reaction, emerge from a cobbled pavement like volcanic islands. Light and water are fundamental elements in the ensemble (although now missing), as they are in the Archipelago itself.
