In 1973, the sculptor from La Laguna José Abad participated in the 1st International Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with this untitled work located at the city entrance-exit, on Reyes Católicos Avenue, next to the Municipal Swimming Pool.

It is a work made of duralumin and remains of a crashed plane, all painted red, forming a kind of prismatic cage in which an incredible and impossible machine is suspended. A magnificent way to present detritus of technological industrial activity in a very significant urban space.

Although in the catalogue of the 1st Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition it appears as "Untitled", the author named this work " The Clock of Death ".

As an anecdote, it can be said that in 2007 a high-displacement vehicle crashed into the sculpture, leaving it in very poor condition, and it was restored years later.
