Created in 1973 for the I International Exhibition of Sculpture in the Street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, this work by Jorge Jiménez Casas (Madrid, 1943-2013) was one of those that remained in the city, installed in the section of the Rambla located below the Colegio de Arquitectos, although it was lost due to atmospheric events. 

The structure of this artistic work was configured by means of large overlapping methacrylate sheets in short spaces, which gave it a spectacular volume made up of mounted planes. It was a piece of great Baroque significance in which its repetitive defoliation of the material established a destruction-construction dichotomy.

This weightless methacrylate, which looked like a huge bird, was lost during a gale. A second reinforced version of the sculpture was placed in the same location, but it suffered the same fate; and no further attempts were made.
