Work by the Alicante artist Eusebio Sempere (1923-1985), it was made in 1973 for the I International Street Sculpture Exhibition of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Sempere was one of the great pioneers of optical trends in art, of kineticism. Fundamental for him was the contribution of light as a sign and call to instability. His work requires the mobility of the viewer, who must engage with the sculpture to achieve the expressive whole. In this way, his compositions capture speeds and light changes or involve space in the imaginary movement of his pieces, but always within an optical reality.

Mobile presents itself as a refined sculpture where very interesting optical and kinetic combinations are expressed. Made of painted iron, it is articulated through reticular constructions of orthogonal flat rods, one fixed and the other mobile and pendular, achieving visual effects of variable design with just the breath of the wind. It is a work of clean and geometric simplicity. 

Initially, this sculpture was located on the Rambla de las Tinajas, later being relocated to Anaga Avenue, at the height of its junction with La Rambla.
